Information we handle
We handle account and verification details, public profile content, listings, searches and favorites, booking and payment records, messages, condition evidence, support and safety records, and technical security events.
- Stripe processes card and connected-account details; Rent-A-Blank stores provider references and payment states, not raw card numbers.
- Exact pickup addresses remain private until the booking and payment state permits disclosure.
- Optional device location attached to condition evidence is collected only after a separate in-product choice.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to provide the marketplace, complete transactions, prevent fraud, communicate time-sensitive actions, support members, enforce rules, and meet legal obligations.
- Booking participants receive only the information needed for that booking.
- Service providers receive data needed to perform contracted functions such as authentication, payments, storage, messaging, and notifications.
- Authorized staff access to sensitive data is purpose-limited and logged.
Retention and member choices
Account settings provide versioned consent history, a portable data export, and a staged deletion request. Deletion may pause while an active rental, payment, claim, safety matter, legal obligation, or fraud-prevention hold remains unresolved.
- Export files are private, expire, and are delivered through a short-lived signed link.
- Eligible profile and account data is erased or pseudonymized after the grace period and required checks.
- Booking agreements, financial records, audit history, claims, and safety records may be retained for documented periods; the current private-beta schedule is provisional pending counsel review.
Privacy questions
Use the Privacy and data section in account settings to make a request. Identity verification may be required before protected information is released. Jurisdiction-specific rights, contact details, cookie disclosures, and international-transfer language will be finalized before public launch.
